Chester Cathedral Choir and Orlando Deanery Boychoir

Our own Boychoir combines with the Cathedral Choir of Boys, Girls, and Men from Chester, England , to sing at Holy Eucharist for our annual Patronal Festival of St. Luke.

Chester Cathedral Choir

Cathedral Series hosts this renowned Choir of Boys, Girls, and Men with a 900-year tradition. Touring from Chester, England , they  sing a memorable concert of British classics and other choral works. Reception following. Sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. John Lyle and The Geneva School .

Orlando Deanery Boychoir with Alumni and Men’s Choir present a festival of carols, anthems, hymns, and readings, based on the famous  Christmas Eve service from King’s College, Cambridge . Reception following. Sponsored by Dr. Madison Gay.

Joy to the World!

Cathedral Choir and soloists sing a Christmas Eve concert of international carols with chamber ensemble and brass quintet, followed by Midnight Mass at  11:00 pm.

Horns & Pipes

The Cathedral’s acoustic explodes with the dynamic sounds of 25 brass players, percussion, and Ben Lane at the pipe organ, all led by  guest conductor Joseph Kreines. Reception following. Sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Dann  Pottinger and a grant from the Musicians Union Performance Trust Fund.

Kirkin’ of the Tartan

Scottish pageantry, heritage, clans, culture, cuisine, literature, and music, featuring a unique, historic service with bagpipes, and our Cathedral Choir singing music from the sacred Isle of Iona. Reception following.

The Seven Last Words of Christ by Théodore Dubois

This lavish French cantata is sung in English by the choirs of three Orlando cathedrals – St. Luke’s Episcopal, St. James Catholic Cathedral, and the Anglican Cathedral of the Incarnation – with the Stetson University Orchestra and  guest soloists from the voice faculties of local universities. Reception following. Sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. John Rinehart.

Emerald String Quartet

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Celtic tunes and arrangements by local ensemble and director/composer Robert Kerr.

Tenebrae for Good Friday

Cathedral Chamber Singers lead an austere Service of Darkness with traditional hymns, a cappella choral music from all eras, and the dramatic reading of Christ’s Passion.

Clive Driskill-Smith, organist

Dazzling the world with his virtuosity, compelling programming, and brilliant recordings, this young British concert organist from Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford , plays major works as well as  new music. Reception following. Sponsored by Mr. Lawrence Gordon and the Central Florida Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

We Believe: A Hymn Festival on the Nicene Creed

Sing along with our amazing Young Musicians in Concert – Orlando Deanery Boychoir and Girls Choir with The Geneva School Rhetoric Choir,  professional chamber orchestra, and The Brassworks. Reception following.

Orlando Deanery Boychoir with Alumni and Men’s Choir sing a traditional Anglican evening service, including annual choir awards. Followed by a reception  with special performances by outstanding talented Alumni.
