In the Anglican tradition, the official governing body of a cathedral church is called the Chapter. The Chapter is responsible for the temporal affairs of the cathedral. It consists of the dean, two wardens, canons and, at the Cathedral Church of St. Luke, 15 lay people elected by the congregation who serve 3-year terms. Other offices include the Treasurer and Chancellor (legal advisor).
